Escaped Princess

December 20th, 2008 - Sands

Check out this ungrateful kitten. She was abandoned by her mother and Pam has been feeding her in the port for several weeks. We had a scare a couple of weeks ago as we thought she had got trapped in the building materials in the empty locale she is living in, and we tracked down the key holder for an abortive rescue attempt.

Smokey On His Way!

December 7th, 2008 - Sands

Beautiful Smokey

07/12/2008: Today I have updated this post.

It appears as if Smokey IS fully recovered from his illness, and is becoming rather cheeky in his new foster home. Pam returned yesterday from a 2 day trip to Gibralter and let Smokey out of the study for a while as he was becoming a little stir-crazy, whereupon he settled happily into one of her cats’s baskets by the fire, naturally inducing some snarling and hissing from the other residents. Smokey appeared completely unconcerned and didn’t even bother to retaliate.

Problems & Thank You’s

November 17th, 2008 - Sands

Just when I thought things were quiet on the cat front for a couple of weeks some new problems arose. Firstly Dawn and Nick who are fostering 2 of the Casa kittens had to rush back to the UK for a few days. I’d like to say a big thank you to Tracy for taking Lulu and Coreena in and adding them to the 3 she is already looking after. They are now back with Dawn and still being well spoilt I am sure.

Our Latest Rescue

November 15th, 2008 - Sands

There I was planning a really relaxing day today, when I got a call from Richard. He was doing a viewing of a rental property and found this beautiful little thing. She kept coming back into the house and he found a bowl of cornflakes and the remains of a bird in the garden All very strange as the previous occupant, Lisa from the Piramide left over a week ago, and it is still hard to imagine how anyone could abandon any animal let alone such an adorable one; we have had her all afternoon and she just purrs and pads and wants to be loved!
