Today Oscar, our lovely ‘baby cat’ is one and therefore no longer really a kitten.

Last night I noticed that little Oscar appeared to have sustained an injury, while playing up on the roof. Chris thinks it was when he shot off over a wall, after being scared by Mori knocking something over.

But was he alone?

Mori (Moreno) is our first cat, and the start of my love affair with these beautiful animals. We rescued him from the end of our road at about 7 months and today he is ‘officially’ 3 years old and still absolutely gorgeous AND as friends and family will agree, a BIG character with LOTS of attitude.

I’ve been mulling over exactly how I have got SO involved with helping the strays cats recently, to the extent that I am regularly helping to clean 30+ litter trays at the cat home, finding foster homes for sick kittens, emailing cat rescue in Germany, fund-raising, sorting medication and vet visits, feeding some strays and even thinking of adopting a third one! SO where did it start and why am I doing all this?
