A Real Character
Great news from Germany last night; Kerstin thinks that she has found a home for Tommy our FIV positive TomCat. He has settled very well into apartment life with Nicola and Erika and we have started his vaccinations. Now it seems there IS going to be a happy ending for this lovely old boy.

A mixed news days today. We STILL haven’t caught the 4th baby kitten abandoned on the rocks. This is worrying as the poor little thing is now alone out there while the 3 others are sleeping with Nicola in her bed and eating well! Tomorrow they will come to the protectoria with us to be checked over by Miguel. They seem healthy enough, unlike the 5 we picked up after Xmas who all had very bad colds. Today I de-fleed them having checked the Frontline spray dosage for tinnies online. The little white one just has slightly infected eyes and is only 500g but he seems feisty enough.

Yesterday I had to move Caesar from his foster home. Things had not worked our because the very kind Spanish lady has a small apartment and Caesar decided NOT to use his litter tray, which as you can imagine was causing a few problems with rugs etc.

I am now definitely worried about Monster Mog. When he first appeared he had swagger, excess fat, and a rather smart pink collar, and we were not overly fond of him as he was chasing off our more gentle strays. Now he seems sad, is much thinner, has no collar, and appears to still have a slight limp from a nasty bite.

Looking Like He Deserves His Name
I first mentioned Monster Mog when he turned up in December, and I commented that nature is tough at times, with territorial animals causing problems for some of the more gentle creatures. We gave him his name specifically because he was such an aggressive cat.
