Here is Xabi in his new home, and I’m not sure a cat could look more relaxed and contented!

I love getting these photos from Germany of happy Spanish cats in their new homes!

This afternoon I got news of our final 2 kittens that arrived in Germany yesterday. This slight delay was because Martina didn’t get home until midnight last night and was out early this morning to work. Basically after work yesterday she drove to pick up these 2, take Xabi to his temporary foster home, and then little Chivers a long way to his new family. :

Good and bad news this evening. Tommy’s test result came back, and it is now confirmed without doubt that he is FIV positive. This does not mean that he cannot have a good life, but we must continue to wait for the right home for him, either as a single cat or with other cats that are also FIV positive. The risk is low as Tommy is not a fighter, but we cannot take the chance that he may bite another cat, and pass on his condition. So he will not be flying with Roya on Sunday, and we will have the pleasure of his company for a little longer.

Xabi is very special to me, because he is the grandson of my Mummy cat Saidi.

This morning we caught, on our first attempt, Mimi’s little kitten. He is GORGEOUS and I have named him Xabi after Xabi Alonso, so now he is a football star!!!
