Mungo & Bongo Ginger Boys

Mungo and Bongo are 2 of my foster kittens, currently occupying my neighbour’s spare bedroom … not that it looks like one at the moment!

The beds are stacked and I am slowly putting more and more cat paraphenalia in there! They have blankets, a scratch pole and now a climbing tower. Iain’s kitten of a similar age, Smudge, is enjoying playtime with them in their den, and has been very helpful in socialising these initially nervous boys.

Now 5 months, they came with their brother, Theo, and friend Golli, from an English woman’s garden near Mojacar where she had fed them from tiny kittens. Whilst they were comfortable with her, once removed to new surroundings, they hid for nearly 2 weeks every time I went in to them. Since I started taking Smudge with me their mounting curiosity overcame their fear, and I can now stroke these lovely ginger boys, and had no problem getting them to the vet.

They are still a little nervous, but are lovely, sweet, non-aggressive kittens so I am sure their adoptant will love them and they will continue to become used to people. They will travel to Germany on March 11th, but for now Smudge and I are enjoying their company.
