12/06/11: Time for an update on these kittens. Little Nina found her forever home and has been there for over 6 weeks now. All is fine. Gus and Petra meanwhile are still waiting for their adoptant, but for now are very happy in their foster home. It does often take more time when we are looking to home 2 cats together, but I am …
11/06/11: It is definitely time for an update on big Simba, the cuddle boy. He travelled to Germany on May 20th, and has been declared totally charming by all who meet him.
Unfortunately he lost his first adoptant when his transport to Germany was delayed, but for now he is socialising well with humans and cats at his foster home and seems very contented. Kerstin took …
10/06/11: Today I received even more great photos of Jemima (Lotte) in her new home. She DEFINITELY seems to have made a rather special new friend!!!
Anke from Katzenherzen will be visiting her this weekend as she will be near Koln where Jemima lives, and has been exchanging emails with her family, so I think we may have more news very soon.
Couldn’t resist posting these new photos of Fleur, our little miss. She is very tired this morning having been playing since about 4am!
Mori and Oscar are also fast asleep, because Fleur kept jumping on their heads, and leaping on and off the bed where we were all trying to sleep. As for Chris and I, we are also tired but unfortunately have a few …
02/06/11: Fantastic news and new photos of Clarence (now Sanchez) from Germany today.
“I just wanted to again tell you how our adopted child is. Sanchez has settled in fine, a lot of agitation in the open has got the winter fat off and he is completely healthy and well. However, he is really quite a teenager and has his own characteristics. He likes …
Beautiful Gertrud comes from the same campsite as Bernie, Felix and Mama cat, and is a sweet, tame cat.
She is struggling a little in her foster home as Montse has a lot of cats. This little princess is not aggressive to the other cats but does like her own space so is spending a lot of time on the TV and shelves! She doesn’t …
28/05/11: These 2 are now really growing in confidence fast in their new foster home.
They now sleep on their foster Mum Bettina’s bed and like to play with her feet! Fantastic news. Bettina sounds lovely, which is also great news for Bertie, whom she is going to adopt.

My articles for the Sol Times in April have been regular updates on my work with the rescued stray cats across the region.
28/04/11: It is exactly a month since I last had news of Magnus. Now I have new photos and a lovely email from his family.
Sweep (a young male) turned up at the house of one of the PAWs ladies, Julie. Good choice! She contacted me because, although he was a lovely cat, he was causing problems among her other strays who seemed afraid of this big boy.
22/04/11: Fantastic! A new photo of beautiful Smokey Boy and one of his housemates, Maxine.
21/04/11: Good news for Pelusa is that her home check in Germany was great yesterday, so her adoption is now confirmed and she has her new home.
AlStrays is all about re-homing rescued cats, but occasionally I do help a very special dog. Maggie the German Shepherd cross puppy IS one such dog.
16/04/11: Only 10 days after Tweety arrived in her new home, it appears she is looking for a new one. Naughty Tweety has bitten her Mum!
11/04/11: Fraser has been in his new home for about a month and the latest news is that he now has a pretty new girlfriend to share his new life with. She is called Jacky and after a few ‘settling in’ days, the 2 have become friends!
10/04/11: Now I have great new photos of Capuchina WITH Artem. They are very happy together and Capuchina is playing with him a lot. She however is definitely the boss for now and hands out discipline as required!
10/04/11: Not surprisingly these 2 cuties found a new adoptant very quickly and on April 6th, their new Mum Sabrina picked them up from Kerstin’s.
06/04/11: These are new photos of Murphy looking VERY contented and loved in his new home. He is now called Lennox and is the one and only cat in the house, for now anyway. This seems to suit him just fine!

17/03/11: Sandy is the first of this beautiful family to travel to Germany on the March 11th transport. His adoptant is very happy with him, and he seems to be getting along ok with his new cat friend.
This is the rather gorgeous Russ, now about 8 months old, and the friendly star in a litter of still rather nervous kittens! He is into his 3rd month in a cattery and is definitely ready for re-homing.
17/03/11: Today I found again the first ever photo I had of darling Asterix, with his family.
This article will go out in the Sol Times next week, but I thought I would post it on the blog today, as while I type, 36 cats and Maggie the dog are on route to Germany!
This is my article published in the Sol Times this week. Murphy’s adoption didn’t work out!
All our Spanish street cats are special; the tiny motherless kittens; the stressed, abandoned pets; the less people-friendly semi-ferals; the character street cats. Being special however, they often need a little more time to settle in their new homes.
Even with all the care and attention Katzenherzen give to finding homes …
06/03/11: Carys and Dylan have now been in their forever home for about 2 months, and their Mum has just got herself a digital camera! Enjoy!!!
This is my article published this week in the Sol Times newspaper. We NEED those cat boxes!

Mungo and Bongo are 2 of my foster kittens, currently occupying my neighbour’s spare bedroom … not that it looks like one at the moment!
This is my article published in the Sol Times newspaper this week. It is part 2 of Lilly’s story.
24/02/11: Martha didn’t get to stay in her foster home, BUT she did find a great forever home and has been there now for about 3 months. Now I have the first photos of a VERY contented girl and her new friends!!!
