Roger & Alex – Cats In Love
29/04/12: Since my last posting on these 2, I did manage to line up a foster home for them, but then we had the fantastic news that they had an adoptant who didn’t mind if Roger was a little nervous. They traveled on the 27.04 transport to Germany and the news is that both have eaten well in the new home since arriving there yesterday evening. Their Mum is a little worried however as Roger seems to have a fairly bad cold, and this morning Alex is sneezing too. I am hoping this is just from the stress of the transport and await more news.
25/03/12: Roger and Alex are 2 beautiful cats that have found each other at the PAWs cattery. Roger is now almost 2 and has been with PAWs for over a year, mainly because he has been nervous and untouchable, and unfortunately a cattery environment is not the best to bring out nervous cats. I have him on my list as urgent for an experienced foster home in Germany. When I visited a couple of weeks ago, whilst still not wanting to be actually stroked, Roger was happy to play with my fingers. This is a really good sign, and assuming Diane can get him boxed and to the vet for final vaccinations, he is long overdue to travel to a better life in Germany.
We are however now looking for a foster home to tale 2 nervous cats, as Roger has fallen in love with little Alex, a 10 month old, very pretty female. It was Alex who apparently flirted outrageously with handsome Roger, but he was quickly won over, as Roger, whilst still unsure of people, LOVES other cats and little females in particular! Not long ago he was cuddling with Josie, but by the time I received the photo of them together Josie already had her forever home in Germany. I really don’t want Roger to lose his second lady love, so am now determined to find this new pairing a home together. Alex was very nervous until recently, but from her new photos, you can see that she now likes strokes. She may however need time in a new home. We must be careful to send them to the right foster parents but I think whoever finally adopts this lovely pair will in time have 2 beautiful and very rewarding cats. Alex has sweetly chosen Roger from among a number of young males in the garden pen, and I’m hoping that someone in Germany will soon chose them both! They really are SOooo cute!!!

Awww..can’t handle the cuteness! Alex is indeed one beautiful kitty. I used to have one just like her a few years ago. Seeing Alex makes me miss her a lot.
