Daphne – An Aristocratic Cat

May 16, 2013 – 9:38 am | 42 views

16/05/13: Amazingly Daphne was found abandoned on the streets in Almeria by a friend of the Spanish lady who runs a private rescue home. I don’t think she had been outside for long as her coat was not in very bad condition, but she is another example of the attitude to animals here. I love all cats but very Persian faces like Daphne’s are not …

Sammy Has A Home

Little Sammy was one of the very lucky ones, when it came to finding a forever home in Germany. Within a few days of her photos appearing on the various home pages, she had her adoptant.

She travelled to Germany just over a week ago and was met off the transport by her new Mum who instantly fell in love with her! Great for Sammy who had been in the PAWs cattery since last summer. This is her story from the PAWs web-site.

Three girls were found abandoned on a complex back in July ´09 and came into our care when the kind people feeding them had to return to Scotland.

Approx. D.O.B: 8 June ´09. Sammy’s sisters Polly and Tilly were homed as kittens.

Because Sammy is shy & wary with people at first, she has tended to be over-looked, having lived in the shadow of her more confident sisters. We were concerned how she would be without her siblings but, if anything, it has been the making of Sami, her confidence is growing day by day and she has charmed us all with her own loveable cheeky-chica ways. She possesses a very happy-go-lucky character and immediately accepts and socialises well with her pen-mates at the shelter.

We described all the girls in three words, and Sami´s original description still applies – cautious, cheerful, charming.

Enjoy her photos. It is easy to see why somebody quickly fell for her, helped by the fact that the German people seem to LOVE ginger (red) cats. I hope we will have new pictures soon from her home in Germany.
