I have been posting a lot recently about Mojacar cats, but Almerimar Strays also has a friendship with another small cat rescue in Almeria city. This is run by a group of lovely Spanish girls, headed up by Ana, and affectionately known as the ‘alondras’.

Great news this morning, that all our cats have arrived safely in Germany. We did get our 4 boxes on the transport and Chivers, Lucia, Cosmo, Marty & Trixie all set off from here early yesterday morning, to a rather colder Germany!

The transport to Germany is now re-scheduled for Friday 15th so Beau and Emily will be on their way again soon. Thursday 31st December
Yesterday we took little fluffy Trixie along with Marty to see vet Miguel for blood tests and more vaccinations. Marty was declared very healthy and has now been chipped, but we are still struggling to get weight on Trixie, and so her further injections and test have had to wait.

Wednesday December 9th
Things are still not great for Emily. As we suspected her wound is infected and she is now on antibiotics and painkillers and will go back to the vet on Friday. She does however seem strong in herself and sang all the way in the car, so I am hoping that by the end of the week her problems will be almost over. …

Mica’s Mum has been to collect him, and she seems a lovely lady so we are all happy. We have told Paula, the young Spanish girl who rang me about him originally, and she is very happy too.
